Personal Health Insurance
Important Information
At Kilrush RFC, we prioritise the safety and well-being of our players. As part of this commitment, we maintain insurance coverage for all fully registered and paid-up players under the IRFU Player Insurance Scheme.

Coverage Details
The IRFU Player Insurance Scheme is designed to cover catastrophic injuries, such as the loss of a limb or permanent disablement. However, it does not extend to cover loss of earnings, medical expenses, accident and emergency visits, or dental repairs.

Recommendations for Players
It is the responsibility of each player to explore and secure additional personal health insurance options. We strongly recommend obtaining medical insurance from a recognised private medical insurer to ensure comprehensive coverage.
While Kilrush RFC is dedicated to player welfare, we are not in a position to offer financial support for medical bills.

Additional Insurance Options
Supplementary insurance cover is available through the IRFU’s broker, AON Insurance (01 2666400), or you may contact your own broker or insurance company for details of additional coverage. Any supplementary insurance arrangements are solely between the player and the insurance provider, with Kilrush RFC remaining an independent party.

Final Note
Rugby is a contact sport, and injuries can unfortunately occur. We urge all players to take the necessary steps to ensure they are adequately covered for personal injury and any associated medical expenses.

Best Regards,
Kilrush RFC Executive Committee
